Megasquirt
I am thinnking going to the megasquirt route for my turbo project.Well at the begining at least, for a 5th injector, and later on if i am satisfied i will replace the entire management. It is a step i am considering because i can reuse it in whatever engine management i want,(well perhaps not the latest ones but it has a really big compatibility from what i get from various sources).Have anybody used it,have any experience, good, bad? It is not very usual here in Greece, very few know it and most of them are not talking much about it...anyone?

Re: Megasquirt
a few of the sierra lads onFSOC have used mega squirt on DOHC engines and on 16v engines, were the Engine electrical's are different, either with our with out a dizzy.
It is very programable, depending on which kit your get, and it's quite a bit cheaper if you build the kit yourself, which if i remeber right, is something like your job?

Re: Megasquirt
Jay has bought and built up his megasquirt kit... running his 2.0 fez on it.
Georgio...
So your current cvh is the SEFI version with 4 injectors... not the CFi crap?
Are they top fed or side fed?
Side fed: Zetec 190cc/min, RSK 240cc/min or extreme.. rover turbo 360cc/min
Top fed.. best to use RST injectors from the fiesta RST.

Re: Megasquirt
Nope.It is the cfi crap with the single injector. On a research i did on the net tbi injected turbos was installed by other companies also.Mitsubishi had the lanxer 2000 EX which was 2 litres 8v sohc engine (The one i am now repairing in the suv of a friend),which had a second injector in the plenum which worked under boost. Also the mitsubishi starion had a similar induction also with 2 injectors in the plenum.TT made complete kits for carbs, which is a very crude way of fuel control. On an injected engine you can control the fuel mhch better.I believe that with a plenum similar to that of TT i will manage to do what i want to.Another problem i was thinking of is the ignition advance. But from what i found edis is trigering as a base at around 8 degrees. If it doesn't receive a pulse from the pip sensor it goes to 10 degrees.So...in that way i could alter the advance...

Re: Megasquirt
Jay built it?Did it work fine?Let's say i have bad experience by complex circuits in DIY mode :p They usually have the habit to have problems.lol.But i will give it a try, mainly cause if i replace the engine in the future i can reuse it,which is a big advantage for me.I will pm Jay.Thanx for the info
