what reg is your fiesta? if its a mk3 then an xr2i ashley exhaust will fit perfect, if its a mk3.5 then the si used a 1.4 CVH so either way you shouldnt have any problems getting an exhaust, flowing all that more air with the new head and cam will be no good if you cant get it out, it'll sound mint too

i thought the efi cvh had a different mani / downpipe due to the different head?

no mate, its only the inlet ports that are different to accomodate the injectors

ive actually ran an efi xr3i on a 1.4 manifold because before i sold the car i swapped exhausts with my mate so they are definetly interchangable

i knew the inlets were different i just rember the mani's on the mk4 scort being different... that 2i one will be spot on then

Yea, With the CVH22 And ported head, Im Hopin to build it up to around 90 to 95 bhp, I wont get near 2i spec, But Ill be happy with some Improvements

you might make it breath a bit better higher up, but it may be a bit gutless lower down.

you don't want to be overfueling it to much with a larger carb, it could wash out the cylinder when you put your foot to the floor, before it starts sucking in the correct air to match the fuel.

i reckon he could see 95-100 bhp from that, headwork, cam, good carb and a good exhaust, a good skim on the head, it'll br reet

Do You Mean with the cam, or the ported head?

Last thing I want to do is creat problems for me self, I just want a good, 0 to 60 sprint car, And If this cam only caters for top end, I wont bother with It

with a 0-60 sprint the revs are going to be at least 3000+ all the time, this will cause no problems as the engine is already working hard. It would only affect the car from low in the rev range say 1200 in 3rd.(when you put your foot to the floor. the affect would only last for a second or 2)
you want a quick car so everything will help. you may have adjust your driving a little, the power band may move up the rev range.

What Im after is beter response from 1st 2nd gear, and so on, I dont want it idlin like a bucket of nails round town either.

When You say adjust driving, do you mean less buzz in trafic etc

He means the power will probably be moved higher up a little, so you might have to rev a little higher in gears around town etc. Shouldn't be too bad though, if you do all this other stuff it might be at least the same at the bottom anyway.

yeah, most likey it will be just as powerfull at the bottom end but loads more power top end
